Oral abstract prize
The 4 best oral abstracts will be presented in the Oral Award Presentations session.
Participants will have the opportunity to vote for the best presentation after the 5 presentations and the winner will be announced in the Award Ceremony.
1st prize: 500 EUR and a free registration for DFSG 2028
2nd prize: 300 EUR
3rd prize: 200 EUR
e-Poster prize
The prize for the best E-Poster is designed to reward the considerable work that goes into preparing an E-Poster for presentation at the conference.
To be eligible for consideration, you must have an abstract accepted as a Top 10 e-Poster. All e-Posters in this sessions will be evaluated for the prize and the winner announced in the Award Ceremony.
E-Posters are evaluated on the following criteria:
- Visually appealing
- Well laid out in a logical manner
- Relevant and interesting content
- Clear conclusions
- Clear knowledgeable presentation
1st prize: 100 EUR
DFSG Lifetime Achievement Award
The DFSG Lifetime Achievement Award recognises outstanding late-career healthcare professionals who have made exceptional and sustained contributions to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research of diabetes-related foot disease. The award honours individuals whose distinguished careers are characterised by scientific excellence, clinical innovation, leadership, education, mentorship and a lasting impact on improving patient care. Recipients are internationally recognised for advancing the field of diabetic foot care, shaping clinical practice and research, and inspiring future generations of healthcare professionals through their dedication and achievements.
First Time International Presenter travel grant
Applies to nurses, podiatrists, research fellows, doctors in training or students aged 40 or under on 24 September 2026.
After acceptance of abstract a letter must be sent to ks@dfsg.org explaining the reason for applying for a grant, together with a confirmation email from the consultant or supervisor at the University that the applicant is a first time international presenter. Only limited grants are available and the executive committee reserves the right to refuse without giving any reasons.
The letter and confirmation email must be sent to ks@dfsg.org by 1 August 2026
Amount: 200 EUR
The receipients of the grant will been informed before the conference.
